Hello! Are you listening?

Susan was sitting in her recliner thinking back to the last thirty days of her life. Her once upon a time, go with the flow husband, turned himself into her personal Drill Sargent. Susan had a slight scare with her blood pressure. Okay make that scary high blood pressure. The diagnosis (drum roll) high blood pressure. Prognosis, Shall you not make changes with your life you will have a heart attack or worse. Words from the cardiologist. She was pulled out of her revere with, “Did you walk today.” Ralph barked.

“Yes Ralph. Even though my lower back, legs, knees and feet hurt.”

Ralph’s head spun over to look at his wife. He saw her tired eyes. Maybe I’m pushing her to much. I know how to fix this. Ralph went back to his iPad.

A couple minutes of silence passed between the couple. “Honey, I found numerous videos that will fix your aches and pains.” Ralph stated as he approached Susan.

“That’s nice.”

What are you doing? “Stretching my muscles. When we listen to our bodies positive changes take place.”

“You are doing one of the exercises I found from a physical therapist.”

Their eyes connected as Susan continued to stretch her toes. A smile fell between them.
